CONTRACT - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

LAPRAAC MEMBER ~PICNIC AREA & FIELD~

The Los Angeles Police Revolver & Athletic Club hereinafter referred to as LAPRAAC, and engagor agree to the following terms and conditions:

Pricing: There is no fee charged to LAPRAAC members or LAPD authorized events for use of the picnic area or athletic field. The rental fee for all other individuals or organizations for use of the picnic area and-or athletic field starts at $3,000.00.

Parking: The Police Academy parking lots are available for your use; however, they will not be used exclusively for your event. Other functions may be taking place, in other locations on the grounds, which coincide with your event.

Beginning and Ending Times: LAPRAAC agrees to reserve the facilities as specified in this contract. LAPRAAC shall not be responsible for delays caused by the engagor, acts of God, civil disturbance, other persons, or utility interruption. The engagor agrees to release any and all occupied function space and to remove all non-LAPRAAC property located therein at the ending time specified. If the engagor requests the use of the facilities for any time beyond the hours of the function set forth, such request shall be subject to the approval of LAPRAAC.

Food and Beverage: Food and beverages may be brought to the picnic area from off-site. Charcoal is needed for the barbeque pit and must be self-provided. Charcoal from the previous party will be in the pit, you are responsible to clean the pit prior to your use. At the end of your event, please leave your coals in the pit to allow them to completely burn out. If alcohol is to be sold, engagor must have a caterer’s license & obtain a one-day liquor license from the Department of ABC (call 213 736-2075 for information on a one-day license).

Trash: Trash liners must be self-provided; LAPRAAC does not provide trash liners. All trash must be picked up from all areas and placed in large containers in the LAPRAAC parking lot at the conclusion of your event. Failure to do so will result in a $500.00 cleanup fee.

Charges: Charges will be made for any items requested by the engagor and/or agent whether the request is made in writing or orally. The engagor agrees to pay for these items.

Use of Facilities Engagor has only the use of areas that have been indicated in this contract. The engagor agrees to conform to all Federal, State, and Local laws governing the use of these facilities.

Supervision: Engagor must have sufficient adult supervision for anyone under the age of 18. Supervision shall also ensure that all guests of this function stay in the location designated on this agreement.

Athletic Field and Track: No animal rides of any kind are permitted on the Athletic Field. Nothing can be parked or placed on the grass area of the field (vehicles, inflatables, dunk tanks, etc.). Inflatables, dunk tanks, etc. can be placed on the asphalt track area. Absolutely NO VEHICLES may be driven on the grass area of the field! If engagor fails to adhere to this rule, any and all damages caused to the grass will be the liability of the engagor and appropriate fees will be charged. Vehicles may be driven on the asphalt track area to load and off-load only. After off-loading they are to be removed from the track.

Entertainment/Music: All live entertainment must have prior approval from LAPRAAC management. Music and all sources of noise must be kept within reasonable limits.

Advertising of Facilities: Engagor may use the business name and address of the LAPRAAC in public announcements advertising this specific function. The typeface used for the LAPRAAC name may not be the predominant typeface of any announcement. The LAPRAAC telephone number and registered logo insignia may not be used or displayed without prior written permission from LAPRAAC management. Use of the LAPRAAC name and address shall not be considered as endorsement or sponsorship of any function, but serve only for location purposes.

Damages to LAPRAAC Property: The engagor agrees to pay LAPRAAC for any and all damages arising from occupancy and use of the facilities by the engagor, engagor’s contractors, guests, and any persons present at the function. Such payment shall be due upon submission of invoice by LAPRAAC.

Security: The LAPRAAC may require the engagor to use the services of the LAPRAAC security staff or other designated agency approved by LAPRAAC to provide reasonable security at a function. Engagor agrees to be responsible for and pay for security services that are assigned specifically for the engagor’s function.

Firearms, Firecrackers, Noisemakers, TV Cameras, and Mechanical Devices: The engagor shall not permit any firearms, fireworks, noisemakers, TV Cameras, filming devices, or mechanical devices upon LAPRAAC property without prior written approval of LAPRAAC management.

Disclaimer: Engagor acknowledges that the LAPRAAC has no responsibility for damages or loss to any personal property on or about premises, and that no bailment for personal property is assumed by LAPRAAC.

This reservation request will remain tentative, unapproved and subject to cancellation by LAPRAAC until this contract is signed by MEMBER and countersigned by LAPRAAC.
Failure to adhere to these Rules and Regulations could result in, but is not limited to, denial of the privilege to use the facilities in the future.
