Greetings everyone, dust off those running shoes because it’s time for Baker to Vegas training to begin. Yes it is that time of the year again, although it seems like it is always that time of the year. It is the time when the conversations begin about who wants to run, how much money do we have and where can we get a follow vehicle. Be afraid, be very afraid because your local Baker to Vegas team captain is going to come knocking on your door if you have the ability to run, or in some cases just a strong pulse. For those of us who are or have been Baker to Vegas team captains we understand it is NEVER too early to begin planning for the next race.
I am humbled to serve all of you as this year’s Baker to Vegas Race Director. This years Baker to Vegas Committee is comprised of Directors, Kathy Meek, Tim Colomey, Bryan Dameworth, Lily Viscarra, Amanda Lankford and Roberto Yanez. We as a committee are committed to do all we can to ensure the 2021 Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay is safe and successful. This years race will come with new challenges to maker sure we adhere to any and all guidelines put forth by all local and federal health authorities, your safety is our number one priority.
The Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup relay for 2021 is March 27 and 28, so please mark you calendars. As of now it is unclear what the capacity rate will be for the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino come March. For this reason it is that much more important to book your room early this years race. The link to book your room for the discounted rate will be available on our website, bakervegas.net , in the near future.
